Thirsty Thursday: Apple Pie

Thirsty Thursday Is Here! Even after a small snow storm, it’s still FALL and since last week’s feature was so popular, we thought this week we would feature something similar : our “Apple Pie Smoothie”.

This smoothie is made dairy free and can easily be made with any of your favorite fall fruits (Pears, Apple, Pomegranates, Cranberries). To this smoothies, we also added a little pure maple syrup; since it is dairy free and a little tart with just the apple. You could easily leave the syrup out thought if you wanted to.However, if you’re going to use maple syrup, make sure to get actual maple syrup, not just maple-flavored syrup… which can be loaded with refined sugar or high fructose corn syrup.

DO IT: Apple (sliced), 1/2 of a banana, cinnamon, a tablespoon of pure maple syrup for sweetness. and almond milk.

BREAK DOWN: (16oz) 216 Calories / 47g Carbohydrates / 5g Fiber / 37g Sugar / 2g Protein.
