Sacrifice a WOD to be a Hero – March 6th Blood Drive

Hello Grizzlies,

We will be shutting down the gym March 6th on behalf of United Blood Services “Find the Hero in You” blood drive.  Come be a hero: give blood.  Sacrifice a WOD and save up to three lives.  Blood donations are used for many purposes, including armed service men and women posted overseas.  Donors are asked to not work out before or after donating blood for health and safety reasons, basically, to sacrifice the WOD.  Members who lose workout time on 3/6 owing to the blood drive are encouraged to make up the WOD on 3/7.  Beartooth will host a special “HERO DONOR WOD” from 9-10 and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday 3/7.  DONORS PLEASE STAY HYDRATED FOR SATURDAY WORKOUTS!

Beartooth’s blood drive will run from 2:00-5:30 p.m. 3/6 at the gym. To help streamline the donation process, complete your health history questionnaire online before you come to the drive. The health history must be completed the same day as the donation; it cannot be completed a day or two ahead of time. To access the questionnaire, go to the following website: http://www.UnitedBloodServices.org/HealthHistory.html to create an account and sign in.  http://www.bloodhero.com/index.cfm?group=op&step=2&opid=639372  is the link for setting up a time during the drive to give blood. (Expect up to 1 hour of your time during your blood draw.)  Use this link to choose a donor time between 2 and 5:30 p.m.  Beartooth will also have a sign up sheet available for donors who have not registered online.  [Or contact either Dru or Sidney Galletti (Donor Recruitment Representative, 406.869.3054,  925.784.9592,  www.unitedbloodservices.org) to obtain a user name and password for edonor and help with registration.]  Donations will take about 1 hour.

New! United Blood Services can now accept a Fast Track Ticket from some mobile devices (smartphones or tablets) as long as their staff can scan the barcode from the ticket. Simply complete the health history questionnaire on your mobile device and bring the device with you when you donate. Or, you can still complete the questionnaire on your computer, then print and bring the Fast Track Ticket with you.

Important: Before you start the questionnaire, please enter your first and last name exactly as it appears on your donor ID card (if you don’t have a card, use your legal name). Do not use punctuation marks (such as apostrophes) or special characters (such as hyphens).

Thank you for finding the hero in you!
